Cardiovascular Center

Client: University of Michigan Hospital

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Architect Partner: SBRA and Integrated Design Solutions

Project Specifics: Two-phase, 30,000 sq. ft. renovation of two adjoining units within the Cardiology facility—the General Clinical Research Center and the Nuclear Cardiology Department. This included the installation of all new, state-of-the-art imaging equipment.

Challenges: The task of coordinating two projects involving a great deal of electrical/mechanical work was the major challenge, as the General Clinical Research Center needed to be completed eight weeks early in order to align with the timely completion of the Nuclear Cardiology Department relocation. Meeting this deadline required multiple worker shifts.

Cost: $8,000,000
