Project Specifics: The exterior of this 80-year-old field house required a major historical restoration. Interior work consisted of a 200,000 sq. ft. reconstruction of three floors of new classroom and common areas.

Challenges: Timing was a major challenge, as both phases required completion within an aggressive 10-month schedule. This included an extensive cleanup effort on brickwork that spanned the entire perimeter. A specialty contractor was tasked with removing 80 years of surface buildup without damaging the underlying material. Areas that contained failing mortar required extensive tuckpointing. Both of these time-consuming processes were in direct conflict with the fast track agenda.
