Lubavitch Foundation Synagogue
Client: Lubavitch Foundation
Architect Partner: Luckenbach/Ziegelman, PLLC
Project Specifics: The new construction of a two-story, 17,000 sq. ft. synagogue.
Challenges: Beyond the need for controlling cost while building on a fast track schedule, the entrance of this AIA award-winning synagogue featured a massive Sukkah, or “folding tent” structure, that presented a considerable challenge. After an unsuccessful search for a contractor that could perform the highly complex work, Shmina designed, furnished and assembled the glulam-based monument internally—to the praise of synagogue members and administration.
Cost: $4,000,000
