Client: Inner-City Baptist Church

Location: Allen Park, Michigan

Architect Partner: Barton-Malow Design

Project Specifics: The project included two main elements: a 18,000 sq. ft. courtyard infill addition, and mechanical & electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Challenges: The addition itself was a challenge because it was built within an existing courtyard, and construction took place during active church and school operation. Protecting the safety of students and church visitors was a high priority. Additionally, the entire crew had to perform their duties as cleanly and efficiently as possible in order to ensure a safe, respectful construction environment during weekend services and special ceremonies.
