Elmhurst Elementary School

Client: Toledo Public Schools / State of Ohio School Commission

Architect Partner: MacPherson Architects

Project Specifics: New construction of a single-level, 50,000 sq. ft. elementary school and demolition of the former facility.

Challenges: Keeping the public safe was an essential component of this project. The new school was built adjacent to the old school and, as a result, Shmina had to practice sensitivity to morning and afternoon automobile and pedestrian traffic, and schedule deliveries accordingly.
